We are publishing the concept of droplet descent along the surface of the filler material!

The liquid that flows down the surface of the packing material forms droplets, moves to the next packing material, merges, and then becomes droplets again as it merges. These droplets come into contact with the rising vapor, facilitating mass transfer. The fundamental principle of gas-liquid contact in irregular packing is based on collision-type surface renewal, and the performance is not determined by the apparent size of the packing material. This is because the shapes of the packing materials vary, and more than the specific surface area, the "packing environment formed by individual packing materials" influences performance and brings out the potential of the packing material. In other words, there is actually a contact efficiency in the packing layer, and due to the differences in the effectiveness of gas-liquid contact, this leads to variations in performance. Since CMR consists of flat packing materials, it allows for surface renewal through the merging and fragmentation of droplets without loss, making it a packing material with high gas-liquid contact. Therefore, when proposing alternatives to packing materials such as pole rings, it is possible to suggest larger sizes rather than equivalent sizes, resulting in significant advantages in terms of processing capacity and pressure loss.
